32050 D&H Ilmenite Ore Car (1947cu.ft.)

For each 32050 D&H Ilmenite Ore car sold $5 USD will be donated to the Delaware and Hudson Railway Historical Society.

Delaware and Hudson Railway Ore Cars used to haul Ilmenite Ore out of the National Lead Mine at Tahawus, NY. This version of the car was built for the D&H by Bethlehem Steel Car in 1965. They were numbered from 100-240. D&H received a second batch in 1966 with a slightly smaller capacity (1844cu.ft.). We will be producing these cars as well as cars that were updated slightly for the Wisconsin Central in the 1990s

For ease of painting we have printed the exterior slope sheet as a separate part as these were often painted a different color than the body.

We have also included the support bars at the top of the car as separate piece and inserts to produces cars that have had them cut out.
