These cars were taken from Lehigh Valley series 62000 (PS-1s) originally purchased in 1947 through 1950, sold to US Railway Equipment for rebuilding in 1969 through 1973, and then leased back by the LVRR. The PS-1 rebuilds became the 65000 series.
Most of these cars had 5 or 7 panel superior doors. This did change over time so please refer to prototype pics. Both versions are included in the kit. Be sure to check the roof on the Prototype as well as some received SR roofs. That kit is 32027.
While built with 50t ASF plain bearing trucks (Tangent and Moloco) many cars had been converted to Roller Bearing trucks. The Plate C Model Prototypes 4102-01 ASF A-3 50 Ton Converted Bearing would be perfect in these cases!
