BCRAIL 5101 cu ft 50’ Combination Plug Door Boxcar Kit

This is a resin kit (trucks, couplers and decals not included). The kit includes underframe,weight, body, etched metal details & various detail parts.

This car was unique to the PGE/BCR and was built by National Steel Car between 1971 and 1973. They lasted in their original form until 1989, when many of them went through rebuilding programs. The last unaltered cars left service around 2000, but many of the rebuilt cars were still on the roster at the time of the CN takeover in 2004. It has an inside length of 50’-6” (CN operated a 52’-6” IL version). The kit comes with Youngstown (original) & Superior (rebuild) doors for the rebuilds
