There is no assembly that needs to be done on these parts. They can simply be painted and installed on a car, or used as scenery details.
Pennsylvania Railroad constructed 500 SD-1 single door LCL (Less-than-carload) containers in 1929, essentially functioning as an early form of intermodal shipping. They could be loaded on PRR FM (5 per car) or F31 class flatcars (8 per car) equipped for container service. Later in life (LCL containers discontinued in the early 50s), many PRR LCL containers became storage sheds around the system and some still survive in this capacity today!
Decals for these containers have been produced by Mount Vernon Shops, and may be re-run if enough interest is shown.
