Built in 1953 the RDG LOf Covered Hopper was one of the roads first purpose built covered hoppers. Previous RDG Covered hoppers were converted from open hoppers. These 1860cuft cars lasted into the mid 1980s on Conrail who changed the class to CR70C when they absorbed the RDG.
