The SOU B30-7A1 (specifically delivered to the Southern Railway) is a 3,000 horsepower, four-axle diesel-electric locomotive built by General Electric between 1982 and 1983. It is a unique, late-production variant of the GE B30-7 built with a distinctive "high-hood" cab design.
Built as part of GE's Dash 7 series, the 16-cylinder B30-7A1 (specifically SOU #3521H) holds the distinction of being the very last new "high hood" locomotive constructed for any railroad in the United States.
